This is a record of our walk along Alta Via number 1, the classic high road through the Dolomites in Northern Italy. At around 120-150km, it normally takes 10-15 days and includes some of the best scenery from the region.
We (Ian and Michele) did the walk with Rachelle and Danny starting on 3 July 2022 after the trip was delayed from 2000 due to covid.
Each post covers one day of the 10 day, 136km walk which covered 7,352m of ascent and 8,400m of descent.
