Cortina to Refugio Averau (2413m)

Started with a bus from Cortina to Passo Falzarego to re-join our walk. Pleasant walk along ski fields ending with a walk around Cinque Torri (lots of climbers), great views of Refugio Novelau perched on a cliff top, and caught in a hail storm during the last climb up to refugio Alverau. This was the best refugio – shared dorm with total 6 people (shared with US couple on their belated honey moon, also doing the whole walk) but good showers and toilets, well stocked and great menu and friendly staff. Nice indoor and (covered) outdoor sitting areas.
